Which defender should West Ham sign in January?

Due to the current defensive crisis facing West Ham, it’s clear David Moyes needs to dip into the January transfer market for at least one more defender.

Angelo Ogbonna’s season-ending injury and Kurt Zouma’s long-term injury lay-off means Moyes only has Issa Diop and Craig Dawson available as first-team centre-halves, while the boss has also admitted that he may even be forced to play Rice in defence if issues continue to persist.

So while a striker remains the number one priority in the winter window, a defender isn’t too far behind as Moyes attempts to add to a squad that has ambitions of breaking into the Premier League’s top-four come May.

As a result, West Have been linked with several defenders as transfer rumours continue to pick up pace.

The likes of Liverpool’s Nat Phillips, Man City’s Nathan Ake, Burnley’s James Tarkowski, Marseille’s Duje Caleta-Car, Bournemouth’s Llody Kelly and many others have already been linked with a switch to London Stadium this January, and no doubt there will be several more before the window slams shut at the end of the month.

But which defender should West Ham sign in January? Have your say in the poll below…
